Gary Hogan forlenger kontrakten

Gary Hogan forlenger kontrakten sin med Gneist A-lag Damer med 2 år. Dette er vi selvfølgelig veldig glad for. Les mer her. 

En stor og viktig dag for damefotballen i Gneist når Gary Hogan forlenger kontrakten med 2 nye år!

Damelaget og vårt utviklingsmiljø for jenter har hatt stor utvikling under ledelse av Gary og resten av trenerteamet bestående av Bjørn Mjelva og Pål Wollan.  Derfor er det fantastiske nyheter både for klubben og laget at Gary nå signerer for nye 2 år. Selv sier han følgende om forlengelsen: 

I'm of course delighted to sign for 2 more years with the damelag at Gneist. This year, like the rest of the world hasn't gone to plan but I was confident we were on a great upward curve since the moment I arrived in August 2019. The attitude and work rate of the girls this year has been phenomenal! Despite not being able to train with contact or play, our over 20's have shown up over and over and put whatever work they could in. Our younger players have been luckier, they have been able to play J17 games, which has given me a chance to work with them and the younger girls even closer. This I think has been a fantastic experience for both me and the players and has put us in an even better position moving forward.

What we're extremely lucky to have here, is that we have a fantastic team around the damelag and in womens football in general. Around the damelag we have Bjørn, Svein Inge, Pål and Nils, and together they are an incredible team that also have a great passion for the development of the girls/womens football in Gneist in general, not just for the damelag. As well as the amazing trainer team we have around the damelag we are also very lucky in Gneist fotball to have a sportslig leder, Ingolf, that works extremely hard to develop the womens side of the game. These were things that was very important for me in order to sign this two-year contract. I want to take part in developing the girls football, not just coach the players on the womens team.

I tillegg forsterkes trenerteamet med Svein Inge Nordhus som det siste året har hatt en hjelpetrenerrolle i teamet. Han gleder seg stort til å gi 100 % for jentene i klubben og går inn i en full trenerrolle i teamet.
